# Edit the setup of a segment

1. From the sidebar, select **Audiences**, then click **Lists & segments**.
2. Use the search bar to find a segment, or locate one from the list.
3. Click the three dots on the right hand side, then click the **Edit segment** button.
4. Make any edits to the audience using the filtering system.
5. Click **Save** > **Save segment**.

Clicking **Save segment** will edit the existing segment. Clicking **Save as a new segment** will create a new segment with your new settings while preserving the original segment.
