# Third party applications

**How to connect to MessageBird?**

If you need to integrate your application to MessageBird, first check our official [Integrations](https://www.messagebird.com/en/integrations/) and see if the application you use is one of them.

If your application is not listed, you will need to check how your application connects to other applications, like MessageBird.

**Does your application require an access/authorization key to connect to other applications?**

Then use our [REST API](https://developers.messagebird.com/). You can create/manage keys in your MessageBird Dashboard [here](https://dashboard.messagebird.com/en-gb/developers/access).

**Does your application require a username and password to connect to other applications?**

Then use our [Old API](https://www.messagebird.com/en/developers-old/). You can create/manage your username and password in your MessageBird Dashboard [here](https://dashboard.messagebird.com/en-gb/developers/access-v1).
