Connect Flow Builder to your existing Salesforce account to start using the following steps:
Before you can start using the Salesforce Flow Builder steps, you need to connect Flow Builder to Salesforce via the Integrations page on your MessageBird Dashboard:
Login to your MessageBird Dashboard.
Click Integrations on the taskbar on the left.
On the Salesforce panel, click Add Integration.
Follow the guided steps to connect Flow Builder to Salesforce. Pay close attention to Step 2, as it will guide you through the steps you need to complete on the Salesforce side!
Once the connection has been authorized, you can use the three Salesforce Flow Builder steps in your flow!
Use the Create Salesforce lead step to automatically create a new lead in Salesforce. To use the Create Salesforce lead step in a flow, decide where in your flow you want to use it (for example, after a customer sends you their phone number), and add the step by searching for it or dragging and dropping from the steps menu on the left.
By default, the step will provide you with a selection of pre-determined fields that are required by Salesforce to create a lead. Use Flow Builder variables to complete these fields.
If you want your Salesforce lead to have more detailed information, you can add more fields by clicking Add Additional Fields and toggling the ones that you want to use to ‘ON’.
The Lead ID variable is a return variable that will be provided by Salesforce once the lead has been created.
The Update Salesforce lead step is used to update a lead that is already in your Salesforce system and has a Salesforce Lead ID.
The Update Salesforce Lead step allows you to update the same set of lead properties that are available in the Create Salesforce lead step.
With this step, the Salesforce Lead ID is now an input parameter.
Use the Create Salesforce lead step to automatically create a new opportunity (such as a sale or a pending lead) in Salesforce.
To use the Create Salesforce opportunity step in a flow, decide where in your flow you want to use it, and add the step by searching for it or dragging and dropping from the steps menu on the left.
By default, the step will provide you with a selection of pre-determined fields that are required by Salesforce to create an opportunity. Use Flow Builder variables to complete these fields.
If you want your Salesforce opportunity to have more detailed information, you can add more fields by clicking Add Additional Fields and toggling the ones that you want to use to ‘ON’.
