To start using Bird Pay, the first step is to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) processes. These checks are essential for maintaining financial security and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. As part of these checks, we verify company registration, address, media presence, sanctions, political exposure, fraud, and more.
Onboarding is a straightforward two-step process: begin with KYC and proceed to KYB once completed. After completing both steps, you can start using Bird Pay.
Bird Pay's KYC and KYB processes are dynamic, with the information requested varying based on the details provided.
To begin with, KYC, log in to BirdCRM, navigate to "Payments" Product, complete SCA and then click Setup Bird Pay. After accepting the Terms and Conditions, you can choose from Live and Test mode for the Account Type for that particular workspace. This is irreversible, and hence, select Test mode if you want to use it for testing/sandbox purposes or Live for using it for actual payments. After the selection of account type, you can start with KYC Flow.
Here’s what a sample KYC flow looks like:
Enter the country of registration. You can find the list of countries supported here.
Give details about the business registration number.
Upload details of the business incorporation.
Enter details of the industries applicable to your business.
Describe the products/services you sell
Add your websites
Provide details of your monthly revenue/turnover
Select where you do business
Add details of business owners and supporting document
Share details of yourself filling out the KYC
Upload ID
12. Review all the information before KYC submission
Submit your KYC
Once the KYC is submitted, the submitter will receive an email notification once it's reviewed
After KYC is verified, you can now start with the KYB process. A sample KYB process is as follows
Start with the KYB process
Select all the payment methods of interest from the list available. This can be modified later as needed under payment methods
Enter the Trading name and other details.
Provide details of the transaction size you expect
Enter details of your delivery time of goods/services
Fill in the details of different payment methods.
Review all the information before submission
Once the KYB is submitted, your application will be processed within 1-3 business days.
For "Live" account, accept the reserve plan after KYB is approved, and your account is now set with the payment processor and are good to start using Bird Pay
