# Why do I have a payment hold?

Sometimes, our fraud prevention system is triggered by external factors you may not be aware of, and in such cases, the payment is held for manual verification.

Manual Verification means that we check everything is fine with your account, and then we instruct our payment processor to go ahead and process the payment 😊.
