Authentication+ Contact
Provide a Brand's representative email for 2FA verification. The brand representative’s email address must be associated with the brand’s website domain.
Valid email of brand's representative for 2FA.
The brand representative’s email address associated with the brand’s website domain.
What is the " Authentication+ " required by the Campaign Registry? Authentication+ is an enhanced added layer of security to prevent bad actors from impersonating legitimate brands and sending fraudulent messages. It is mandatory for all new and existing public for profit brands registering for A2P 10DLC. Soon to be expanded to all other Brands. Even if your public for profit brand is already verified, you’ll need to comply with Authentication+ to register new campaigns.
How does " Authentication+ " work?
In a nutshell, Authentication+ adds an extra layer of security by verifying the identity of the brand representative registering for A2P 10DLC messaging. This is how it works:
Email Verification: When registering a new brand or “updating” (the 2FA is sent when an existing brand is revetted following an update) a public profit (i.e., publicly traded company) brand, you must provide a brand representative’s email address. This email need to be a valid business email associated with the brand. We will not accept personal, and group email IDs.
Two-Factor Authentication: TCR will send a 2FA email to the provided address. The brand representative must click the link in the email, and enter their name and title to complete the 2FA. to verify their identity.
Verification Deadline: if you’re registering a new public profit brand or updating an existing one, make sure you have access to a brand representative’s email address associated with the brand’s domain. The initial email will expire in 7 days. Make sure to inform your brand to complete the 2FA process within 7 days or contact us if the link has expired. Bird can resend a 2FA verification up to 30 days from registration or adding a business contact email before the brand must be resubmitted.
Verified Status: Once verified, the brand’s status in TCR changes to “VERIFIED,” allowing you to register new campaigns.
External Brand Vetting - optional
If you intend to send high volumes of messages, we recommend submitting your brand for vetting. If so, select this field in the brand form. Note there is an additional cost of $40 associated with each Brand vetting attempt. This option may also be helpful if your brand is not being successfully verified through the standard registration process.
Vetting completion
Once your brand has been vetted, you will have access to all standard Use Cases. However, the available throughput and classification will depend on the resulting Vetting Score achieved. Note that vetting will be based on your current Brand information, so it is important to double-check that all details are correct before proceeding.
It is important to note that better throughput is not guaranteed. In rare cases where a lower Vetting Score is achieved, the Brand Secondary Vetting process may also impose a reduction in a Brand & Use Case throughput. You can refer to the tables available on the our website for more information.
