# Remove an agent from Inbox

{% hint style="danger" %}
Deleting an agent is permanent. If you’ve deleted an agent and you want to add them to Inbox again, invite them as a new agent.
{% endhint %}

When you remove an agent from Inbox, they will no longer have access to Inbox. To remove an agent from Inbox, follow these steps:

1. From the side menu, click **Inbox.**
2. Go to the **Inbox** **Settings**, then click **Agent profiles**.
3. In the agent list, hover over the agent and click the three dots.
4. Click Delete agent. A pop-up window will appear.
5. Confirm that you want to delete the agent by typing Delete agent, then clicking **Yes, delete agent**.

### Removing agents and billing

When an Agent is removed, the seat they occupied will remain occupied until the end of the month. This means that if all available Inbox seats are already occupied, removing an Agent and adding a new one in their place is not possible, as the seat will only become available at the beginning of the next month.

If the same Agent is removed and re-invited within the same month, they will retain their original seat and associated billing.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.bird.com/applications/inbox/inbox/admin-guide/agents/remove-an-agent-from-inbox.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
