# Create a list picker Apple Messages template

List picker allow your customers to choose from a list of options, making it easy for them to engage with your business by selecting from a curated list that you provide.

## Message components

### Message received

This is the initial message that recipients see when they receive a list picker message from you. It should be attention-grabbing and relevant to the choices you're offering.

* **Image**: Choose to upload a file or provide a URL to a public image that is related to the action you want your customers to take.
* **Title**: This is your main call-to-action (CTA), such as "Pick an item". You can include variables to personalize the CTA.
* **Subtitle**: Use this for additional information supporting your main CTA. Variables can be included for personalization.
* **Style**: Options include 'Icon', 'Small', 'Large'. It's recommended to use the 'Large' style for better visibility.

### List content

You have two options for setting up List content: Static and Dynamic.

* **Static list Content**: Predefined options you set up in advance. This provides an easy way to create a static list of single or multi-select options with one or more sections.
* **Dynamic list Content**: Offer flexibility by allowing you to define options at the time of sending the message. This is achieved by creating a variable designated as a "Section list".

When creating a **static** list configure the following for the options your customers can choose from:

**Sections:**

* Add one ore more sections containing options
* **Section Title**: The main heading for your list. Variables can be included to tailor the message.
* **Single or Multiple select**: Whether the options in this section are single or multiple select

**Options:**

* **Title:** The title of the option. Variables are supported for customisation.
* **Subtitle \[Optional]**: Additional details about the option. Variables are supported for customisation.
* **Image \[Recommended]**: You can upload an image or provide a URL to complement the option visually.&#x20;
  * Images should be **180px × 180px** (60pt × 60pt @3x resolution). The total file size for an image within a list picker is limited to 64 KB.&#x20;

You can add multiple **sections** to your list picker message. This is useful if you want to send multiple questions to your customers in a single message.

### Message replied

'Message replied' is the message that is shown to a recipient when they make a selection from the list you've provided.

You'll need to provide the following content to populate the message:

* This message appears to recipients after they've made a selection, confirming their action.
  * **Image**: Upload or provide a URL for an image related to the completed action.
  * **Title**: For example, "Selection made". Variables can be used here for customization.
  * **Subtitle**: Additional supporting text for the title. This can also include variables.
  * **Style**: Options include 'Icon', 'Small', 'Large'. The 'Icon' style is recommended for reply messages.

## How to make a quick reply message template

1. Go to **Content** > **Message templates**.
2. Click **Create message template**.
3. Under 'Platform', select **Apple Messages**.
4. Select **List picker** as the 'Message type'.
5. **Message Received Block**:
   * Add an image by uploading or using a URL.
   * Enter the Title and Subtitle.
   * Select 'Large' from the Style dropdown.
6. **List Content Block**:
   1. **For static list content:**
      * Enter a Section Title for each part of your list.
        * Add list items by specifying a title, optional subtitle, and optional image for each.
        * To include more items, click 'Add item +'. For additional sections, click 'Add list section +', then customize as needed.
   2. For **dynamic list content,** first create a new variable under settings as a "Section List". Then in the list content block, select the dynamic option and specify this variable in the parameter key.
7. **Message Replied Block**:
   * Upload or provide a URL for an image.
   * Enter a title and subtitle.
   * Choose 'Icon' from the Style dropdown.
8. Once your template is complete, click **Publish** to make it available for use.
