# Make someone else in charge of the Account
Only the current owner of the account can make someone else in charge, that is, transfer the ownership of the account to another person.
* If the email address has not been added yet as a User, you can add them by clicking on the Workspace name in the upper-right corner → 'Users' in the drop-down menu → 'Add new user', or click [here](https://dashboard.messagebird.com/en/settings/users).
* On the Users page just click on the ‘Make Owner’ button next to their email address.
