# How is a Partner Network setup?

You can set up your “Partner Network” with [MessageBird's Partner API](https://developers.messagebird.com/api/partner/).

Once a “Partner Account” has been activated, you can add *child* *accounts* using the API.

Adding *child accounts* automatically establishes a hierarchical relationship between the *child account* and the *main account*. 

Keep in mind that you are responsible for both the main account and *child account’s* consumption.

You can retrieve the “Partner Network” using [MessageBird's Partner API](https://developers.messagebird.com/api/partner/) and display or manage it in your own software or cloud service.
